Leonhard Euler

Mathematical scientist known for his contributions to the study of concave or convex polyhedrons. His complete works occupy more than 70 volumes, and he lost the sight of one eye at the age of 31, and the other 17 years before he died.

Euler's Ratio

Euler demonstrated that in all convex polyhedra the sum of the faces + the vertices is the number of edges +2. For example, in a cube the relation would be: 6 faces + 8 vertices equal to the 12 edges +2.
